The University of the Highlands and Islands is an integrated university encompassing both further and higher education.
UHI is not a traditional university. They are different. They are part of a new breed of tertiary institutions, the only one in Scotland and one of only a few in Europe.
Based in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, UHI has a distinctive partnership of 13 independent colleges and research institutions locally based and rooted in communities, but with national and international reach, as part of a regional university structure.

You can go straight into a degree, or you can start with a Higher National Certificate (HNC) then progress on to a degree course, and even all the way to postgraduate study if you want.
